“Based on interviews with 60 individuals and families about their philanthropic activities and ideas, this study of philanthropy in Australia shows how and why Australians give away their time and money and how they decide which causes and organizations to support. Issues discussed include the emergence of the new rich, how greater economic and financial literacy have led to greater confidence with investment decisions, and how new interest in the concept of corporate citizenship is encouraging business leaders to reassess their approach to corporate giving.”
